Two kinds of people
If you create an organization, you are a host. If you register for a night, you are a guest.
Hosts agree to these terms when they create an account. Guests agree to the host's own event terms when they register. This page is the contract for using Pulsar itself.
The product
Pulsar lets hosts build a night, collect registrations, issue a QR credential, and check people in. Some surfaces are still a preview. Features can change as we ship.
Your account
Give us a real name, a real email, and a password only you should know. You are responsible for anyone you add to the organization and for what they do at the door.
You run the night
You decide who is on the list, who gets in, and what your guests agree to. Event copy, form questions, and any disclaimer on your registration page are yours.
Pulsar is the door. It is not the host, the venue, or security.
Guest names
When a guest registers, we store what your form asks for so the door can run: at least a name and email, plus any other fields you add, check-in status, and a snapshot of the terms they agreed to.
You need a lawful reason to collect that. Do not ask for data you do not need. Guest privacy details live in the Privacy Policy.
Credentials
Each guest gets a token encoded as a QR. The QR is not an identity document and does not carry their name. Do not share someone else's credential. Revoke it if it should no longer open the door.
Fair use
Use Pulsar to run a real night. Do not:
- Try to break, scrape, or overload the product.
- Read or copy another host's list without their permission.
- Impersonate door staff or issue credentials you should not issue.
- Use Pulsar to harass anyone, or to run a night that is illegal where it happens.
Uptime
We work to keep the door live. Networks fail, which is why check-in can queue on a device. We do not promise a perfect count or that every scan will succeed.
Money
Paid plans for Pulsar are not public yet. We will not charge your organization for the product until you agree to a price.
Any ticket money you track on an attendee is between you and that guest. Pulsar is not a payment processor today.
Your lists, our product
You keep the rights to your event data and copy. We need a license to host it, send confirmation email, and show it to the people you invite into the organization.
The Pulsar product, mark, and design stay ours.
Closing a door
You can stop using Pulsar and ask us to delete an organization. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts guests at risk.
If something goes wrong
The host is responsible for the room: capacity, who gets in, and what happens at the door.
Pulsar is provided as is. We are not liable for lost nights, overcapacity, or a name that should not have been on the list. If a court says we owe you money, that amount is limited to what you paid us for Pulsar in the 12 months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you paid nothing.
Changes
We will post updates on this page. If you keep using Pulsar after an update, you accept the new terms.
